November 27, 2024 – We are thrilled to announce the release of FLAMES version 22.2, the latest update to our commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) framework for developing custom constructive and virtual simulations for the aerospace, defense, and transportation industries.
Below is a description of the most significant enhancements included in version 22.2. Download FLAMES to get the FLAMES documentation and more information about these enhancements.
Enhancements to Unreal Engine Option
The development activities for version 22.2 have focused almost exclusively on enhancing the FLAMES Unreal Engine option. The primary enhancement was the addition of the FLAMES CIGI IG Plugin for Unreal. This FREE plugin for Unreal Engine provides support for developing CIGI-compatible image generators and fully integrated computer generated forces simulations with FLAMES and Unreal Engine. The FLAMES Unreal Engine option and all of the Unreal games in the FLAMES Store were also updated to support version 5.4 of Unreal Engine.
Enhancements to Database Administrator
In version 22.2, the FLAMES Scenario Database Administrator was enhanced to allow dataset import and export when connected to a FLAMES network scenario database.
Launcher Enhancements
We’ve made several enhancements to the FLAMES Launcher. Most importantly, the Launcher now allows the specification of multiple locations where Project Folders can be stored, and it allows Project Folders to be easily copied or moved between locations and to other computers.
Please refer to the FLAMES documentation included with the FLAMES Developer for more information about all changes and enhancements in FLAMES 22.2.
