November 13, 2025 – Ternion announces the release of FLAMES version 22.4, the newest update to the most capable commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) framework available for developing custom constructive and virtual simulations for the aerospace, defense, and transportation industries.

User Interface Enhancements
The user interface of all applications has been modernized in FLAMES version 22.4. In addition, four new color settings have been added to user interface Themes, and multiple new example Themes are included.
Enhancements to Unreal Engine Option
FLAMES version 22.4 adds several enhancements to the Unreal Engine Option, including the following:
- Support for defining the Unreal game level origin in different ways
- Support for games that stream level data on demand using the Unreal World Partition system
- Significant performance improvements when rendering the 2D view of the game in FORGE.
- The addition of a simulation-callable function to compute precise intersections with entities in the game.
- Updating FLAMES and all Unreal content and game projects in the FLAMES Store to be compatible with Unreal 5.6.

Launcher Enhancements
Several enhancements have been made to the FLAMES Launcher. Most importantly, Launcher Projects now support settings to rename, hide, and change the order of Project items. See the About section in the Launcher Settings for more information.
